Sebastian Martinez
Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Sebastian Martinez is a junior studying Biomedical Engineering at Ohio State University. Having a father as a civil engineer, Sebastian was always drawn to problem solving, which led him to take interest in biomedical engineering in high school.
This summer, Sebastian continued following his passion for biomedical engineering, working on “High Throughput Screening System for Engineered Heart Tissues” in Thomas Bifano’s lab. The project aims to analyze the contractile force of engineered heart tissue.
Sebastian is interested in device development, and will be applying to MS and PhD programs at BU and other institutions in Boston and California.
