How do I enter my hours?

Timesheets must be approved by 12:00 noon on Tuesday in order to be included in that week’s payroll. Please speak with your manager to find out who is responsible for approving your time sheets, and determine what your department’s time entry deadline is so that your hours may be approved in time for the weekly payroll.

If you are a non-exempt weekly paid employee, you must enter sick and vacation time directly on your time sheet. Employees should select the appropriate absence type from the “Att/Abs. Type” drop down menu and then enter the number of hours for which you are using that time in the “Hours” column.
It is not required for non-exempt employees to use the Time Off Request system. Using the time off request system no longer results in receiving pay for an absence, weekly paid employees must use the timesheet.
How do I earn comp time or request to use earned comp time?
I am unable to enter/edit the time off request for an absence I took a few months ago. What should I do?
As of 2/5/21, the system does not let you enter or change absences taken more than 3 months in the past. Please have your manager/payroll coordinator email Payroll at BUpay@bu.edu with your BUID, the approved absence/change, and the reason you’re entering/editing the request now.
