Elif Ozsen is a Neurobiology Ph.D. student in Dr. Lynne Chantranupong’s laboratory. Elif received her B.A. in Cell Biology and Neuroscience from Rutgers University in 2022. Currently, Elif is investigating how mTORC1, a core lysosomal-dependent signaling pathway, is remodeled in the brain. In collaboration with Dr. Ji-Xin Cheng’s laboratory, she is utilizing fluorescence-coupled mid-infrared photothermal microscopy (F-MIP) to profile lysosomal contents within the neuron, and how lysosomal content is coupled with mTORC1 activation and subcellular localization.
