De’Ja Rogers (Boas Lab) received her Electrical and Electronics Engineering Degree at Norfolk State University. During her time there, she took an intro to optics and a bioelectronics course. She became interested in both topics and couldn’t decide on which one she wanted to pursue. Her mentor notified her of a program at Boston University that could combine them both. For her dissertation topic, she will focus on fNIRS data extraction and analysis. She expects to graduate in 2024.
