David Lee (Chen lab) graduated from NC State with a BS in Biomedical Engineering in 2014. He became involved in neurophotonics during his first year as a grad student at BU through my rotations. He learned how to patch clamp neurons in John White’s lab and then was introduced to two-photon calcium imaging in Jerry Chen’s lab. Joining Jerry’s lab (Biology Department) ensured neurophotonics would be a major part of his graduate career. He does not yet have a dissertation topic but is currently preparing to investigate potential neural circuits involved in a whisker-based paired association task. He expects to graduate by spring 2023.
