Ashley St. John (Davison Lab) graduated from Lafayette College in 2018 with a B.S. in neuroscience. She became interested in neurophotonics at the end of her first year in graduate school within Ian Davison’s lab where she learned how to use two-photon microscopy to conduct in vivo calcium imaging of neurons during sensory processing in mice. For her dissertation, she plans to use calcium imaging techniques under two-photon microscopy to ask questions about changes in cerebral blood flow dynamics and neuronal excitability following traumatic brain injury in mice. She expects to graduate in 2024.
