Virtual Lab Saving Method – Web Browser

NOTE: This saving option is only available to users accessing the Virtual Labs through a web browser.

Saving from the Virtual Lab to Your Computer

    1. On the left side of your screen click on the menu tab
    2. At the top, click on the file transfer utility
    3. The file transfer utility opens and it is empty
    4. Find the file in the VLAB that you want to save to your computer, select it and use CTRL+C or right click and select copy
      (In this case the file is in the Desktop of the Virtual Lab.)
      After copying the file, notice that its name automatically appears in the file transfer utility in green:
    5. Click the download icon after the title of your file in the file transfer utility
    6. Select the location in your computer where you want to save this file (the default location is the downloads folder in your computer)
    7. The file is now saved to your computer, navigate to the location you selected to make sure the file has been saved locally

    Upload Files to the Virtual Lab

    1. On the left side of your screen click on the menu tab
    2. At the top, click on the file transfer utility
    3. Select Upload in the file transfer utility
    4. Click on ‘Choose Files’ and in your local computer find the file you want to upload to the VLAB, then click ‘Open’
    5. The filename you selected will turn green when the upload is complete
    6. Files are saved to the ‘Documents’ folder inside the VLAB, to find this folder:
      Open the file explorer (inside the VLAB)

      Navigate to Documents
    7. The file you uploaded is now inside the VLAB in the Documents folder.
    8. When you have finished working on this file, you can save it back to your computer for keeping it when you log off (see the previous section on how to download files from the VLAB)

    It may take a couple of seconds or minutes to update.
