Frequently Asked Questions

  • How can Graduate Assistants gain access to Sharepoint?
By adding your Graduate Assistant to your Microsoft Teams group, you will automatically grant them access to your departmental Sharepoint. If you need assistance with this process, please contact us.
  • Can I share a folder/file from our departmental library outside our department?
Sharing rights have been deactivated due to security purposes so only users in your Teams group have access to your department Sharepoint. If you do need to make something accessible to another group, you can do one of the following:
    1. Use the Shared Documents library that is available on MET Central. This will make the document available to everyone at MET College.
    2. Put in a General Help Request requesting the creation of a new Shared Folder. In your request, please specify the name you would like to give the folder and a list of the departments/users that should have access to the folder.
