About Us
Boston University Trademark Licensing Office
Introduction
Boston University owns and controls its name and other marks, and has delegated the responsibility for maintaining and licensing them to the Boston University Trademark Licensing Office. Our office ensures the appropriate use of BU trademarks on a variety of products, including apparel, stationery, and promotional items.
Mission
The mission of the BU Trademark Licensing Office is to protect and promote the name and identifying marks of Boston University. By overseeing their use, we help support the University’s brand identity and generate resources for the University’s educational and research initiatives.
Responsible Sourcing
Our office is dedicated to ensuring that BU-branded products are manufactured and embellished by vendors who meet our standards for ethical and socially responsible practices. As affiliates of the
Fair Labor Association (FLA) and
Worker Rights Consortium (WRC), we work with these organizations to promote fair labor practices throughout our supply chain.
