Justice Media Computational Journalism co-Lab Fellowship

Jesús Marrero Suárez, the inaugural recipient of the fellowship, has published a variety of justice-focused stories with WBUR. During his time as an investigative reporting fellow, Suárez has worked across newsroom desks to cover critical topics such as immigrant rights, police accountability and systemic inequities. He used data-driven reporting to examine the state auditors office and provided essential coverage of the deportation crisis. A 2024 graduate of BU’s journalism program, Suárez was a former campus editor at The Daily Free Press and correspondent at The Boston Globe.
