Attend the Alumni Disruption Series Ft Daisha Roberts (MSW '22). Daisha Roberts is a Licensed Independent Social Worker, trauma-informed therapist, and founder of Sonny Wellness Center, a holistic and anti-oppressive mental health practice based in Boston. She is originally from Boston and continues to live here, serving her local community. Daisha graduated from Bowdoin College in 2016 with a degree in Psychology and Africana Studies and earned her MSW from Boston University School of Social Work in 2022. She launched her private practice in 2024 and expanded to a group practice in 2025, building a diverse staff committed to culturally attuned, trauma-informed care.
Through Sonny Wellness Center, Daisha works to close the mental health access gap for marginalized communities. Through her work, she centers the intersections of race, culture, trauma, and relational health, emphasizing that healing does not just happen individually but collectively. Her work is rooted in the belief that when communities have access to care that reflects their lived experience, they are better equipped to reclaim their narratives, strengthen relationships, and build liberatory futures.
