Mark Simes, Ph.D

I joined Boston University in 2023 as the Director of Industry Engagement’s Life Sciences portfolio. In my role, I work closely with researchers in the Life Sciences at BU, across all campuses, to help faculty identify, develop, and grow meaningful and sustainable relationships with industry partners in their mutual areas of interest. I bring to BU more than 15 years of combined experience in research, project and partnership management, and economic and strategy consulting.

I am a Boston University alum, having received both a BA in Cognitive Science and French Language and Literature and an interdisciplinary PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience, History and Philosophy of Science, and Cultural Sociology from BU’s University Professors Program.
