Jon Gilbert joined Boston University in March 2019 and currently serves as Assistant Vice President of Corporate Research and Contracting (formerly known as Industry Engagement). In this role, he leads the office with the goal of comprehensively addressing the needs of companies seeking to engage with Boston University in research-related activities and facilitating all forms of research contracting.
With more than 25 years of combined industry and academic experience, Jon brings extensive expertise in building and operating companies, managing complex projects, patenting and licensing technologies, negotiating industry agreements, and conducting bench-level scientific research.
