The faculty and researchers associated with the Hearing Research Center hold appointments in various departments and colleges at Boston University.

HRC faculty members receive substantial grant funding from agencies such as the National Institute of Health, the National Science Foundation, the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), and the Office of Naval Research. Boston University has recruited world leaders in science research and the HRC has brought these leaders together to pursue their common interest in hearing research.
