Adelani Stephens
Adelani Stephens is a musician, teacher, composer, and consultant in creative and performing arts based in Jos, Nigeria. Beginning his career in the early 1980s in choirs and bands, he later taught music in schools, conferences, and workshops. His accomplishments include drafting a music curriculum for Nigeria in 2006 and establishing the first government-approved music institute in 2007. He also designed and conducted the first online entrance examination for tertiary institutions in Nigeria and acquired the National License for Specialized Tertiary Institution. From 2007 to 2011, he was national chairman of vocational & innovation enterprise institutions in Nigeria.
In addition to his academic endeavors, Lani is the founder and editor-in-chief of World Harmony magazine. His music albums, compositions, and publications include Heart of Praise, Epo Mbe, Afrika Kom-Togeda, Happy Song, and Harmony. His most significant project in Nigeria is NAVTRAM 2012. Lani is also actively involved with the British Council’s global network. Currently, he is managing a five-year capacity building program for Nigerian youth, a project sponsored by the US Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria.
