Eonyoung Park

EonyoungEonyoung Park is Deputy Director of South Korea’s Ministry of Strategy and Finance. During her seven years of experience with the government, she was involved in developing diverse economic policies, participating in developing social welfare and important price policies. In 2009, she won the Ministerial Award for her contribution to price stability in Korea. Her work experience includes monitoring the Korean financial market and consulting regulation policies with the Financial Services Commission. She also participated in G20 and IMF meetings on international financial architecture issues. In particular, she drafted the discussion agenda on Global Financial Safety Nets (GFSNs), one of Korea’s initiatives from the 2010 G20 meetings in Seoul. Eonyoung holds a bachelor of economics from Seoul National University. During her Humphrey year, she plans to develop her expertise in international financial markets by studying the evolution of the international monetary system since Bretton Woods and current trends of cross-border capital movement issues.
