Alfred Wambang Nyamalum
Alfred Wambang Nyamalum is a state auditor in the Supreme Audit Office of the Presidency of Cameroon. Over the past 16 years, he has audited more than 40 government institutions, projects, and programs. Prior to joining the Humphrey Fellowship Program, he was appointed to a team of eight senior government officials selected from the executive and judicial divisions to supervise the recovery of misappropriated funds in Cameroon. Alfred holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in banking and finance from the University of Yaoundé 2, Cameroon; a master’s degree in economics from the University of Dschang, Cameroon; and a project management professional (PMP) certificate from the Project Management Institute (PMI) of Pennsylvania. He recently joined a training program for government auditors in Tokyo, Japan, sponsored by the Japan International Cooperation Agency. During his fellowship year, Alfred plans to study competencies needed to solve problems and make sound decisions at strategic positions in the domain of auditing, banking, and finance.
