Juvaria Shahid

Ms. Juvaria Shahid has been an English teacher in Pakistan for sixteen years. She has had the unique opportunity of working successfully in diverse socio-cultural backgrounds ranging from Himalayan northern areas of the country to deserts in South. Ms. Shahid continues to oversee all extra- and co-curricular activities in the institutions she has worked with. Mrs. Shahid has also served as an editor of various college magazines.

With a bachelor’s degree in education, Ms. Shahid has organized and conducted multiple training workshops for language teachers. She obtained her master’s degree in English literature from the University of Punjab, Lahore.

During her Humphrey year, Ms. Shahid intends to expand her knowledge of Teaching English as a Second Language program management in multilingual and diverse cultural settings. In particular, she would like to enhance this knowledge through shared professional experiences with other Humphrey Fellows.
