Lubna Mohammed has spent the last decade teaching English in Yemen and the last five years training EFL teachers, trainers, and supervisors. She has served as a delegate and presenter at many workshops and conferences, such as at IATEFL in 2010 and the Yemen ELT Conference in 2012. She was also selected as a master trainer among a group of ten to develop and oversee English-language education programs in Yemen.

In addition to her Bachelor’s degree in English-language instruction, Lubna has earned two international certificates and the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test. She has also received many certificates of recognition and participation by the Yemen Ministry of Education, the British Council, and the US Embassy. Lubna volunteered as the coordinator of a cultural exchange program between Yemen and the United Kingdom organized by the British Council and has worked as a mentor and pilot testing coordinator in the Secondary Education Development & Girls’ Access Project, administered by the Ministry of Education and American Spectacle Learning Media. As a Humphrey Fellow, Lubna plans to enhance her understanding of English as a Foreign Language pedagogy as well as curriculum and materials design
