Syeda Naila Batool

SyedaSyeda Naila Batool has seven years of experience in teaching English as a foreign language and organizing workshops and conferences for students and faculty at the NICON Group of Colleges and other universities in Pakistan. She also has experience in promoting education and social change through creative writing and journalism, having contributed many articles to several national periodicals on topics ranging from current affairs and national security to comparative linguistics and language learning. Syeda holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Punjab and a master’s degree in English language and literature from the National University of Modern Languages in Islamabad. During her Humphrey year, she hopes to learn effective foreign language instructional techniques, study TESOL standards, and develop effective classroom management strategies, all while gaining a deeper understanding of the more complex aspects of teaching English grammar. She also plans to study approaches to supporting the professional development for teachers of English who are non-native speakers.
