Pamela Sarian
Assistant Vice President for Strategic & Digital Marketing
As Boston University’s inaugural Assistant Vice President for Strategic & Digital Marketing, Pam Sarian leads strategic initiatives and fosters essential collaborations with BU’s schools and colleges to promote our extensive portfolio of master’s and professional programs. Collaborating closely with deans, enrollment teams, and marketing leaders, as well as external digital marketing and advertising partners, Pam ensures the University maintains a coordinated, cohesive, and compelling presence across all traditional and digital marketing platforms. Her efforts are key to reinforcing BU’s reputation as a leading global research institution and effectively reaching and engaging prospective graduate students.
This role builds upon Pam’s extensive experience as Executive Director of Marketing & Creative Services in the University’s central Marketing & Communications group, where she oversaw the strategy and client services divisions of the University’s in-house creative agency. Under her direction, the agency delivered top-quality, brand-centric, and award-winning websites, along with marketing and communication collateral for key areas of BU, including undergraduate admissions, individual schools and colleges, central administration, and alumni relations. In this role, she was also responsible for overseeing the BU brand, ensuring the University was properly and effectively represented in all communication and marketing efforts.
Pam began her career at BU in 2003 as a Communications Manager for the Sargent College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences. Before joining BU, she worked in public relations in the healthcare sector. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University Maryland and a Master of Science from Boston University.
