AAAS CASE Workshop
The American Associate for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Catalyzing Advocacy in Science and Engineering (CASE) Workshop in Washington D.C. offers the opportunity for PhD students in STEM disciplines to learn more about science policy and advocacy. This three-and-a-half-day program will be held in Washington, DC. from April 6-9, and will focus on educating STEM students about the role of science in policy-making, introduce them to the federal policy-making process, and empower them with ways to become a voice for basic research throughout their careers. Four students from Boston University (Medical Campus students are included) will be selected to attend. Chosen applicants must receive consent from their advisor. Those who attend may be asked present in the future on their experience attending the workshop. Please direct any questions to apgrad@bu.edu.
