Dorothy Mangale is a fifth-year Implementation Science PhD candidate in the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington. She completed her MS in Global Health at Duke University and her undergraduate studies in Biology at University of Chicago. Her research interests are in adolescent and women’s health with focus on HIV and HPV/Cervical Cancer care. Her training in Global Health Implementation Science, is centered around using mixed methods research, health economic evaluation and adaptation strategies to address problems in the know-do gap. For her, dissertation Dorothy is evaluating the implementation of a telehealth strategy to support HIV care for Kenyan adolescents and youth living with HIV during the pandemic. Before joining the PhD program, she worked at PATH and then as a research coordinator on the multi-country, multi-site, Childhood Acute Illness and Nutrition (CHAIN) Network, in the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington.
