Recap: Google Hangout to Build Your Best Global Health Resume
Did you miss the Google Health hangout session on how to build your global health resume organized by the Global Health Fellows Program? Below is a recording of the session:
Thank you for joining us for the interactive Google Hangout on Air entitled, “Build Your Best Global Health Resume“ last week. We were pleased to have a live audience of over 230 individuals who received resume advice from our Global Health Fellows Program II recruitment and career development staff. More than 1,000 individuals accessed our presentation on YouTube. The focus of our discussion featured the questions from Drexel graduate student, Tami Hill, as well as questions from the audience. A sampling of the resume and career questions we addressed included:
- Does my resume reflect skills necessary for a position in global health?
- Do I highlight my qualifications effectively?
- Which portions of my resume align with the expectations GHFP II and/or other global health employers? Which portions do not?
- How long should my resume be as a graduate student or as someone beginning my career?
- How can you use domestics public health and study abroad experience to build a global health resume?
If you missed the event or would like to replay the discussion then we welcome you to watch the recording here. In addition, be sure to check out our new blog post by our student panelist, Tami, who shares her perspective about resume writing and the cultural understanding gained from her recent experience in the Gambia and Senegal.
