Android Developers Needed for Boston-Based Start-Up Focused on Health Communication for Expectant Mothers

OBaa, a startup right out of the MIT GFSA, is looking for android developers. We are building a platform to allow expectant mothers communicate better with their healthcare provider

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of responsive and intuitive applications
  • Assist in the design of applications from concept to launch, and through their life-time
  • Keep up with trends and new developments in the space of mobile development (i.e. material design)
  • Collaborate in the development of innovative ways to increase user immersion and interaction
  • Assist in the testing of software products via emulation-based and/or live demo-based methods
  • Join the product team in the development of the mobile development life cycle
  • Evaluate and increase an application’s effectiveness
  • Clarify what actions the program is intended to perform
  • Work closely with data analysts and designers to increase the product’s feature-set and robustness

Qualifications:

Strong preference will be given to candidates with the skillsets outlined below

  • Java and Javacript
  • XML
  • Objective-C/Swift (for iOS platforms) (a plus but not required)
  • Experience in developing custom UI interactions and interfaces
  • Experience with Parse, Github and Crashlytics
