ESOL/Adult Literacy Teaching and Curriculum Development Internship available now in Boston!

Internship opportunities for individuals to teach English and adult literacy and design lesson plans for our intensive ESOL classes through our ESOL/Adult Literacy Teaching and Curriculum Development Internship. We are a 501(c)3 organization helping low-income immigrants integrate into the Boston community. Interns will work with our team to create lesson plans for a variety of English levels and receive training to tutor and teach students. This program will provide interns with extensive training and opportunities to develop teaching and leadership skills. This is an unpaid position. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Commit to 10 hours per week (minimum of 6 hours in the office/classroom)
  • English Fluency
  • Background or strong interest in teaching and education
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • A proactive work ethic and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work in a collaborative setting and willingness to accept constructive feedback
  • Interest in working with underserved immigrant populations and gaining experience teaching ESOL and literacy
