Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation and Quality Program Coordinator

Location: Kigutu, Burundi
Kigutu Reporting, Monitoring, Evaluation & Quality Coordinator: The Kigutu-based Reporting, Monitoring, Evaluation & Quality (RMEQ) coordinator works to strengthen Reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation and Quality of operational activities and projects across Village Health Works (VHW). RMEQ also leads the development and implementation of core indicators, and works with other teams to integrate M and E and Q for project evaluation, planning and expansion of programmatic activities. Helps to introduce an integrated approach to RMEQ that influences activities for all aspects of VHW, and provides strategic information that makes VHW programs more effective and demonstrates their impact. Creates user-friendly forms for other members of the VHW team to facilitate consistent monitoring and evaluation.
Position Overview
The RMEQ Coordinator will provide conceptual and technical support for development of RMEQ tools to be deployed across VHW programs. S/he will manage documentation to maximize feedback for program improvement and dissemination. Reporting to the Country Director and working closely with the field and clinical staff, the Coordinator will facilitate production and presentation of regular VHW reports for major donors as well as informing what aspects of VHW programs are doing well versus those that may need improvement. These reports will be generated through use of the VHW EMR.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Provide technical support and input on content for database and tool development
2. Report weekly on progress made in RMEQ at VHW
3. Produce tables, graphics and other technical documents for data communication and feedback
4. Work closely with field and clinical staff to design operational procedures and user interface for databases
5. Support Development team for RMEQ components of proposals and donor reports
6. Perform data entry as needed
7. Ensure data quality through regular supervision with staff and regular review of databases.
Qualifications:
– Masters of Public Health preferred
– Strong background in statistics
– Good computer skills
– Data management experience preferred
– Excellent written and oral communication skills with special attention to detail and timeliness
– Proficient in French and English. Proficiency in Kirundi a huge plus.
