Monitoring & Evaluation Officer full-time position with St. Boniface Haiti Foundation (alum of IH Department previously filled position)

Organization Background: St. Boniface Haiti Foundation (SBHF) is a 501(c)3 organization that has been working in the areas of health, education, and community development rural Haiti for the last 29 years. We currently run a 60-bed hospital in Fond des Blancs, as well as various community development and education projects designed to serve the impoverished Haitian population in the surrounding regions.
St. Boniface Haiti Foundation (SBHF) is seeking Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. This position will be located in our field office in Fond des Blancs, Haiti and will be responsible for all monitoring and evaluation activities for the both the hospital and the foundation as a whole. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collect, analyze, and disseminate data applicable to all grants, hospital programs, community health and development projects
• Establish baseline data within the service area of SBHF as required by donors
• Develop tools for monitoring and evaluation that can be used for current and future projects within SBHF
• Train staff in the principles of data collection and monitoring and evaluation
• Supervise all data collection related to SBHF programs – ensuring sound methods are in place and appropriately utilized
• Assist management team in utilizing data for program evaluation and strategic planning
• Work with donors to ensure adequate monitoring and evaluation of all SBHF programs according to rules and regulations set by donors and SBHF
• Collaborate with the management team in Haiti and Newton, MA on the development of proposals for future programming – responsible for the design of logical frameworks, M&E plans, work plans, and indicator matrixes
• Supervise the Archives Department at SBHF
• Work closely with medical director to streamline the hospital information systems
• Oversee the continued implementation and upgrades of all electronic medical records systems at SBHF
• Create quality improvement systems to evaluate care provided at SBHF
REQUIREMENTS
• Advanced degree in public health, or a related field
• At least two years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in a resource-poor setting
• Experience working on a multi-cultural team
• Management experience preferable
• Background in epidemiology is desirable
• Experience in project design and logical frameworks, preferably on USG-funded projects
• Proven skills in defining indicators and developing data collection tools
• Fluency in English with fluency in Haitian Creole and/or French preferred
• Good working knowledge of relevant M& E software
• Strong computer skills including proficiency working with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work and live in a rural, resource poor setting
