Summary
The Family Planning and Adolescent Reproductive Health in Emergences Specialist will provide technical assistance to country office programs that address family planning in development and emergency settings. The specialist will contribute to the implementation of youth friendly family planning, emergency obstetric care (EmOC), and Post Abortion Care (PAC) in emergencies and significantly manage all work related to adolescent reproductive health in emergencies. He/She will work collaboratively with the Emergency Health and Nutrition, Adolescent Health and Reproductive Health teams as well as country offices to ensure that family planning and EmOC/PAC programs in emergencies are adolescent inclusive, to strengthen global family planning programs, and to document and disseminate research findings and program results.

Requirements
• Clinical degree (Nurse, Midwife, etc), with 2 years clinical experience in providing family planning services including short-acting and long-acting methods like IUD and contraceptive Implants
• Masters degree in public health or related field an advantage
• Minimum of 2 years working with youth
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in developing countries, emergency settings an advantage
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the work year, including post conflict countries
• Flexibility to travel to a new emergencies at least once a year w without prior planning
• Ability to work from Washington DC.
