Data Collectors Needed for Study of Physical Activity in Children in Boston and Providence – paid position
Dr. Sara Benjamin Neelon at Duke University is conducting a study measuring physical activity of children in two states. We will start collecting data this fall and are recruiting part-time staff to collect data in Boston, MA and Providence, RI.
We are looking for data collectors to conduct day-long visits to child care centers in Boston and Providence and complete observations. Training will be provided on the observation method. We need people who are able to commit to working a minimum of 2 full days per week from late August through October (max. 4 days per week). Since the observation occurs throughout the entire day that a center is open, it can typically be a 10-hour day. Interested applicants must be able to commit to working through this entire round of data collection which is expected to end October 31st.
These are contract positions with Duke and paid hourly at approx. $20/hour. Travel to child care centers in Boston and Providence would be required as well as travel to Durham, NC for a 2-day training on August 25th and 26th. All travel will be paid for/reimbursed.
