  • Starts: 12:00 pm on Wednesday, April 5, 2023
  • Ends: 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 5, 2023
The Pew Charitable Trusts uses data to make a difference and supports the public interest through research, technical assistance, and strong partnerships to advance powerful, positive change.

Pew approaches its mission by partnering with diverse philanthropies and individuals, advancing independent research, and fostering evidence-based policy decisions in areas within the arts and education, conservation, finance & economy, governance, and health spaces, among others.

The Office of Research and BU Foundation Relations will present a workshop to help acquaint BU researchers with the Pew Trusts principal funding areas and the foundation’s protocols, including around the Pew Scholars Program in the Biomedical Sciences, the Pew Latin American Fellows Program in the Biomedical Sciences, and the Pew-Stewart Scholars Program for Cancer Research.

Kara Coleman, Project Director for Biomedical Programs, will share insights on Pew Trusts’ mission and interests, priorities, and grant programs, and how faculty may best engage with the Foundation. Participants will also have the chance to share ideas with each other and meet potential collaborators.
