Sophie Reilly

Sophie joined the Foundation Relations team in July 2025 and supports faculty in the schools of Medicine and Public Health. She holds a BA in Anthropology and Communication from McGill University, an MA from McMaster University, and is completing a PhD in Anthropology at Northwestern University. Before joining BU, Sophie worked in communications at Hydro Ottawa and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, where she drafted and edited web copy and media releases, ensuring that technical information was understandable to a broad public. She also served as a Fellow at Northwestern’s Graduate Writing Place for two years guiding researchers through the writing process.
