Dr. Zachariou’s research focuses on protein signaling complexes involved in pain perception. The $100,000 award from the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation will support the study of therapeutic targets for chronic pain.

Wendy Kuohung, associate professor of obstetrics & gynecology, receives March of Dimes grant
The funding will support Dr. Kuohung’s first-of-its-kind research into therapeutic agents for preeclampsia. Dr. Kuohung will develop an assay to treat preeclampsia in women who may have increased genetic risk for the condition.

Dr. Chantranupong, a molecular biologist studying brain lysosomes, is one of 126 fellows selected.
