Dr. William Tomlinson., is the Director of the Software & Application Innovation Lab (SAIL) at Boston University. In this capacity, William is responsible for overseeing operations, shaping, and implementing long-term strategic plans, and managing organizational grown while seeking to develop new opportunities and partnerships. Tomlinson holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University (Boston, MA), and brings with him a decade of industry experience in software development and leading large-scale interdisciplinary technical projects, most recently as a Principal Engineer and Technical Manager at Draper Laboratory (Cambridge, MA). Tomlinson has led several multi-million, government funded programs, where he was responsible for providing technical direction and leadership, business development, strategic planning, program management and delivering mission critical systems for wireless communications.
