Mathias Thorpe is a full time graduate student at the Boston University School of Social Work where he is studying the macro practice. He received his BSW from the University of North Carolina Wilmington where he focused on clinical social work. Before moving to Boston, Mathias served on an interdisciplinary team at a South Carolina healthcare facility, serving those who were living with HIV/AIDS. His focus is now on serving the aging population. He has been the social work intern at Fenway Health with the LGBT Aging Project and now at Boston University Center for Aging and Disability Education and Research (CADER).
