Dr Tim B. Thornton is a Researcher with the Economics in Context Initiative which is part of Boston University’s Global Development Policy Centre and is also a Researcher with Global Development and Environment Institute at Tufts University, Boston. Tim Thornton holds a Ph.D. in Economics from La Trobe University and a Master of Arts (International Development) from Monash University. Tim has previously worked as an academic at Monash University, Swinburne University and La Trobe University where he taught and researched in the areas of economics, political economy, economic history, international development and politics. Much of Tim’s recent research has been on pluralism and interdisciplinarity in economics, including his recent book From Economics to Political Economy: the promise, problems and solutions of pluralist economics.
