Seeking a Co-Director for Oversight of KL2 and Workforce Development Programs
The BU CTSI is seeking a Co-Director for the Institutional Career Development (KL2) and Workforce Development Programs. The BU CTSI’s KL2 and Workforce Development programs aim to build a system that provides continuous comprehensive mentoring and career development support for clinical research staff, and scholars from postdoctoral training through early faculty years and to anticipate the skills needed for future success in research.
Position Description
The Co-Director of the BU CTSI KL2 program will be a Mid-Career to Senior Faculty Member. She/he will collaborate with KL2 Principal Investigator (Director) and Workforce Development Director, Dr. David Felson to manage all aspects of the programs including oversight of the KL2 Program application review and oversight of the appointment process. The Co-Director will also have oversight of the following programs (inclusive of selection of participants, participation in workshops, seminars and mentorship:
The BU CTSI will provide 10% FTE for this role.
Eligibility
Eligible candidates should have:
- A Faculty appointment at Boston University (Associate or full professor)
- Experience with mentoring and career development for trainees and/or faculty
- NIH funding track record
