Congratulations, Dr. Amira Hussein

TL1 Post-Doc receives 2017 ASBMR John Haddad Young Investigator Award

Dr. Hussein’s research interest is in the area of bone and cartilage mechanics. In her doctoral research, she studied the outcomes of vertebral trabecular bone adaptation to the effects of aging and osteoporosis. Through this work, Dr. Hussein has established an expertise in the use of mechanical testing and micro-computed tomography in the assessment of bone strength and bone morphometry. Dr. Hussein was one of ten recipients to receive the 2017 ASBMR/AIMM John Haddad Young Investigators Award. Visit ASBMR to learn more.
