Maya Chakravorty

Graduate Assistant

Maya Chakravorty is a PhD candidate in the Classical Studies department. Her dissertation examines the transmission of virtues and ways in which the Imperial-era authors Silius Italicus, Juvenal, Plutarch, and Quintilian conceptualize Republican Roman heroes in ethical discourse. Maya has served as a teaching fellow in the Classical Studies department, and has taught her own classes in the Latin language and Roman culture. She is excited to serve as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and learn more about inclusive paedagogy.
