Bridge Builders was a Faculty Fellows Program in 2023-2024 that focused on advancing experiential learning at Boston University. The program was a learning community where faculty engage with other faculty interested in project-based learning, share experiences, expertise, and insight into project-based learning barriers, techniques, and opportunities, and inform a new curricular toolkit and training for peers.
About the Bridge Builders Program
The Bridge Builders Program was supported by a $25,000 grant provided over two years from the Davis Educational Foundation. The Davis Educational Foundation was established by Stanton and Elisabeth Davis after Mr. Davis’ retirement as chairman of Shaw’s Supermarkets, Inc.
The program was made possible through a partnership with The Initiative on Cities’ MetroBridge experiential learning program. MetroBridge is a University-wide applied research and experiential learning program that matches BU courses to local governments and community organizations. It provides students with the unique opportunity to work on real-world projects, and partners with valuable research to address pressing urban challenges.
