The May Commencement ceremonies celebrate graduates who complete their studies after the fall and summer semesters as well as those who complete them at the end of the spring semester. Below clarifies participation eligibility. Specific questions should always be directed to your school/college coordinator.
Important note about Regalia
Caps and gowns must be worn at all academic ceremonies.
August 2024 & January 2025 graduates
All-University Commencement: You are invited to participate in the All-University Commencement Exercises on Sunday, May 18. Graduates should follow the same Nickerson Field instructions for May graduates and guests.
School/College Convocation: You must contact the appropriate school/college commencement coordinator if you plan to attend your school/college convocation.
May 2025 graduates
All-University Commencement: You are invited to participate in the All-University Commencement Exercises on Sunday, May 18. Graduates should follow the Nickerson Field instructions published on this website in the weeks prior to the big day.
School/College Convocation: You must contact the appropriate school/college commencement coordinator if you plan to attend your school/college convocation. They will provide specific details about the convocation ceremony for graduates.
August 2025 tentative graduates
Most of the schools/colleges permit tentative graduates to walk (or participate) in the All-University Commencement and/or the school/college convocations; however, some schools/colleges/programs do not. If you are not sure of your eligibility to participate, you should contact your school/college commencement coordinator to see if there are any restrictions.
If you are able to participate, you should follow the same instructions for May graduates and their guests.
