Giada Costantini

Giada Costantini is a postdoctoral researcher at the Center on Forced Displacement at Boston University. She holds a PhD in Sociology of Education from the University of Birmingham, and a MA in International Education and Development from the University of Sussex. Her work sits at the intersection of disability, forced displacement and humanitarian action – where lived experience, theory, power and policy collide. She works with displaced children with disabilities and her families in Lebanon, engaging also with I/NGOs, OPDs,UN agencies and other relevant actors working in the sector. Over the past five years, she interned at Education Cannot Wait (ECW) – the UN Global Fund for Education in Emergency, with the monitoring and evaluation team, and she worked as a disability and inclusion specialist consulting for several international organizations, including the World Bank, the Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office, (FCDO), and the Inter-agency network for Education in Emergency (INEE).
