Daniel Cunha
Research Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics and Statistics
Daniel Cunha completed a Ph.D. in the Boston University Mathematics and Statistics Department, and is currently a Research Associate Professor with the Master’s in Statistical Practice program at BU. Dan develops statistical theory and methods for a variety of scientific disciplines, focusing on embedding inferential capacity within models of large complex systems. His domain of study spans multiple scales, from continental terrestrial ecosystems to biological cellular networks, as well as observational settings in oncology. Dan brings 10 years of industry experience, applying statistics to Vaccinology, Epidemiology, Agriculture, and Labor Market domains, prior to coming to BU.
