About
I am an undergraduate student on the pre-med track at Boston University majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Human Physiology. After graduation, I plan to pursue either medical school or a PhD program, with a focus on neurology, whether in a clinical or research setting. At the Center for Brain Recovery, I am currently involved in projects aimed at better understanding language processing in individuals with aphasia. One project explores emotional reactivity and neural activity using a movie-watching paradigm to more holistically characterize aphasic language processing. Another project uses eye-tracking methods to investigate post-stroke reading difficulties in Spanish-English bilinguals with aphasia, with the goal of helping us better understand literacy challenges in aphasia. I am also an intern for the C.H.A.T. Aphasia Resource Group, where I collaborate with other interns to develop engagement resources and co-facilitate weekly sessions that support individuals living with aphasia.
Research Interests
Neurodegenerative diseases, language processing in bilinguals with aphasia, post-stroke recovery, behavioral neuroscience
