Course Title: Sociology of Race, Class & Gender
Description of EL Component: Students develop their own research, engaging in digital ethnography throughout the semester and analyzing how discourse about intersectional inequalities function online. Students are trained on the various techniques and practices of digital ethnography and then conduct their own ethnographic data collection via social media, analyze that data, and write up their analysis as their final paper.
