Course Title: Ecological Forecasting and Informatics
Description of EL Component: Incorporates lab-based, hands-on, or computer-based activities. This is a stats/data course that utilizes real-world data sets, including publicly available data and data collected by students. Additionally, students engage in a semester-long team project that uses real data, and their results are submitted to the Ecological Forecasting Initiatives Challenge (actually competing against other students/scholars). There are also opportunities to co-author manuscripts, depending on the project.
