About Leana

Leana is a Nurse Practitioner at Boston University’s Occupational Health Center. She has been a nurse practitioner for twenty years, serving mostly medically-complex, adult, and geriatric patients in underserved populations. Leana has worked in community health settings providing primary care and case management services. Additionally, she has been a palliative care consultant in various settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing facilities, outpatient oncology and dialysis centers, and homes.

Leana joined Boston University’s Healthway Program during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic to provide support to our student and employee population. She pivoted to her role within the Occupational Health Center and now focuses on helping to prioritize and maintain the health, safety, and well-being of our employees. Leana finds fulfillment in educating the Boston University community about disease prevention strategies and overall healthy living.

Outside of work, Leana enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three children.
