Celebrating a Hero
BU President Melissa Gilliam joins alum Brigadier General Enoch "Woody" Woodhouse (LAW'55) at the ribbon cutting for a permanent display of Woodhouse’s military memorabilia on view in the newly named Woodhouse Cadet HQ at the BU Air Force ROTC building at 118 Bay State Road, September 1. At 99, Woodhouse is one of the last surviving members of the Tuskegee Airmen, the famed all-Black World War II fighter squadron. President George W. Bush awarded Woodhouse and the other Tuskegee Airmen the Congressional Gold Medal in 2006.
