Zilia Zichun Zhou (CFA’17) of Pasadena, Calif., launched Chanova Design, an interior design studio, after a life-changing season. The week before Thanksgiving 2024, she unexpectedly parted ways with her would-be dream job and was forced to evacuate her home weeks later to avoid the Eaton Canyon fire in Los Angeles. A week later, Zilia discovered that her family home had survived, and in that moment committed to pursuing her dream of creating an interior design studio that integrates feng shui, energy flow, architectural precision, and environmentally conscious materials into her practice.
