Susan (Capalbo) McIntyre

Susan (Capalbo) McIntyre (Sargent’66) of Chocowinity, N.C., published a book on her work in Afghanistan as a US diplomat providing humanitarian assistance for the Afghan people. Outside Heaven: An Afghanistan Experience (iUniverse, 2021) starts in 2002 and recounts how Sue meets with warlords, men and women, and international NGOs and the UN to provide much-needed help to the civilians caught up in war.
